Far beyond the simple machines that someone might use to take care of their lawn or the type of equipment used to build small homes, there is a type of construction machine which if bought might require enormous collateral based equipment lending and financing. The largest machine in the world ever built is the V Cat D8R which is an earth mover built by the German company Krupp. The machine is a gigantic 311 feet tall and is 705 feet long, weighing 45,500 tons. The vehicle is so massive that it requires five people to operate it and took a full five years to assemble at a cost of $100 million.
