There are many stretches of open land in some Chinese cities and public parks are one of the main centers for gatherings of Chinese citizens as there are often lots of things to do there. One of the most interesting things a foreigner on a China visa might see while visiting the park are the numbers of group activities available for anyone who decides to visit. Often retirees will be involved in things like ballroom dancing that's accompanied by music, sword and fan dances by women performing in unison and groups of people practicing the carful movements of Tai Chi.
